We were delighted to discover this working aqueduct. Claimed to be of Roman construction, this long, low, multi-arched aqueduct carries water across the valley of the Agly to irrigate vineyards and gardens

Quillan to Limoux Gorge Route
An interesting drive following the river to Limoux. You can return via Queribus and the Gorges de Alamos.

Take the D117 from Perpignan to Quillan then on D 118 to Limoux
Collioure
Without doubt one of the most attractive seaside towns on the Mediterranean. Famous for its anchovies and topless bathing!
DIRECTIONS
Take the coast road, the D81, from Perpigan to Collioure. If you wish you can return to Perpignan via the autoroute.
France/Spain coast border
Further down the coast from Collioure you come to the border. The road winds over ridges and round bays with incredible views over the Mediterranean. Vineyards with tastings can be found on the way plus you get to eat and drink in some fascinating fishing village cafes.

Take the coast road, the D81, from Perpigan to Collioure then on to Figueres. If you wish you can return to Perpignan via the autoroute.
