Wine Tours in France - the Loire Region
For wine tours in the beautiful Loire Valley, we recommend
Steve has lived in the centre of the Loire wine growing area for 12 years, getting to know the small family domains which produce the best quality wines and where the owners are most hospitable and welcoming. So your visits to the vineyards will not only introduce you to the finest wine produced in the area but you will meet convivial owners who are proud and passionate about the wines they produce. Steve’s knowledge and passion for the wines will ensure you have an enjoyable and stimulating day out!
Steve offers a variety of one-day tours, for €140 per person, (with discounts for groups) including pick-up from your accommodation and a delicious lunch in a typical French restaurant.
If you’re staying in Paris (you can reach Tours, in the centre of the Loire, in just over an hour), Steve can help with trains, hotels, etc. No need to hire a car!
You can choose between tours to Chinon, Bourgueil and Vouvray; Cheverny and Cour Cheverny; and Sancerre and Pouilly sur Loire. (For the Sancerre / Pouilly tour, from Paris take the train to Vierzon, where Steve will meet you, not to Tours).

The Loire Valley has huge variations in soil, weather and terrain, all of which contribute to its unique terroir. It is the only region in France to produce excellent wine in every category: red, white, rose; still and sparkling; dry and sweet. Wine tourist's HEAVEN!
