Bob and Giselle , from England and Ireland respectively, have lived in France for many years and are as enthusiastic about the country, and its wines and cuisines, today as they were when they first set foot here.
Based in Bordeaux, we offer tours of the Médoc, Graves, Sauternes, St Emilion and Cognac, as well as accommodation in the heart of the fabled St Estèphe vineyards.
In addition, working with our friends around France, we operate a service offering wine tours throughout the country with locally-based tour guides who are passionate about their regions and wines while offering a personal service.
Bob’s career in the drinks industry has seen him living and working in Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East, giving him the chance to visit vineyards all over the world. Being fortunate enough to get a job as a wine buyer for an international company in his twenties, Bob later set up his own company, Vins du Midi, doing wine tours and tastings in the Languedoc Roussillon area of France.
Giselle also has very extensive wine-tasting experience together with a wide-ranging knowledge of French cuisine. Her experience in the hospitality industry has given her a passionate belief in providing her guests with the best possible holiday experience and she offers a very warm welcome to all who come to stay.
Bob on Wine Tours
There’s something special about drinking wine in the place it was made! Being able to see the vineyards, the vines and the cellars lets you truly appreciate all the elements that have gone into the wine you are tasting. The great thing about visiting vineyards in France is that you are seeing a way of life that, in essence, has changed very little in centuries, a way of life in which man and nature combine in harmony to produce great wine – a constant pleasure in an uncertain world.
So if you’re thinking of a holiday including some wine-tasting, or want to do some more concentrated tasting, France will make an excellent destination.
France makes the best wines in the world (in my opinion!) and has a great variety of wine areas to visit: Alsace, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Cognac, Loire, Rhone … the list goes on.
We here at Winetour-France will do everything possible to make your French wine trip as enjoyable as possible.

In our website you will find loads of stuff to give you an insight into all the different things you can do and see on your holiday, I hope it all is self-explanatory but do get in touch with us if you need any help in deciding where to go. Hope to see you soon!
