plus Bergerac and Marmandais
- Minutes from Duras town and Duras wineries
- Easy access to the national motorway system and to the vineyards of Bordeaux and the
south west of France
- Handy to a number of historical medieval towns such as the medieval town of Eymet
- Welcoming accommodating hosts

4 self-catering gites near Bordeaux, Duras, Marmande and Bergerac
"Mirathon" is a 17th century farmhouse and is made up of four carefully restored
individual gites.
Each gite has its own kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedrooms and a private patio
or balcony, ensuring that when groups or families take the whole property for their
holiday they can have as much privacy as they want. Or, if they wish, they can be
totally communal - ideal for meals as there is group seating for 30 people. Each gite
has been sympathetically restored, tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard
retaining many of its original stone walls and exposed beams.
They offer relaxed and comfortable accommodation with added benefits of fully fitted
kitchens, modern bathrooms, well furnished sitting-rooms and comfortable bedrooms.
Often described as the French Tuscany this tranquil area in the quiet Lot-et-Garonne
countryside is only 4kms from the fascinating bastide town of Duras and is surrounded
by activities suitable for all ages.
You can easily fill your days exploring, sightseeing or merely relaxing on the sunny
terrace of the 11m x 5m Roman pool.
The four gites at Mirathon are called Aquitaine (our largest gite), Garonne, Dordogne
and Gascogne. Full details of each gite can be found on our website. Our four gites sleep eight, six, four (two adults and two children as there are bunk beds)
and four and extra beds can be provided as well as sofa beds.
Altogether at Mirathon, we can provide 6 double bedrooms, 5 twin bedrooms, and 1 family
bedroom. All bedrooms are spacious with excellent beds, plenty of wardrobe and drawer
space and are fully equipped with comfortable and modern bedding.

Location
The property is very centrally located both in terms of Bordeaux and Bergerac Airports with an
excellent road network.
The wine regions of Bordeaux, Bergerac, Marmandais and Buzet one hour's drive away
plus the villages, towns and attraction
of the South-west and Aquitaine region.
Close enough to the local village for you to collect your baguette / croissants on the bike
while the town of Duras is 5 minutes away where there are several excellent wonderful restaurants.
The Dordogne Valley, the Cognac region and the Atlantic Ocean and extensive coastline, are all
in easy driving distance.
