Recommendations
For a real wine experience you must get into the actual vineyards and
wineries where you can get the whole atmosphere of French winemakers.
We focus on small ten to one hundred hectare vineyards, often with family owned wineries.
Here you will find generations of tradition and passion for wine. The
mainly French owners will give you a warm welcome and a number have at least
one English speaking staff member and often younger well trained vignerons who
have had international experience.
Wine Tours France supports the Vigneron Independent organisation which has an emphasis on producers who grow the grapes, make the wine and sell it to the public.
They say, "Discover the diversity and wealth of our wine heritage by meeting independent
wine makers." Look for their sign when visiting cellars.

UPDATE August 2008
We will be visiting and reporting on the latest tour
information in August in Champagne and the Alsace. September see us in Burgundy ,
Beaujolais, Rhone Valley and Gaillac. While October has us in Armagnac, back to Cahors, Duras and Bergerac and final
Bordeaux for an up-date on the wines of the Medoc.
We are gathering together a network of competent tour operators in the
French wine regions. All speak both English and French and have outstanding contacts
with local wineries including a number that the general public cannot access. Above
all they are delightful people who love showing visitors the hidden treasures in
French wine and food. They can be found on the regional tour pages.
