Unique farmhouse gite in working vineyard & winery
The Grape Escape, our well-equipped 4-person gite (self-catering holiday house) is
surrounded by organic vineyards and offers fabulous views across the Dordogne valley.
It is semi-detached from the main farmhouse facing onto the courtyard on one side and onto
the vines on the two sides built out over the vineyard.
As our guests, you are very welcome to spend time with us to learn about our wine and
winemaking, taste our wines and perhaps even take part in vineyard or winery activity
depending on the time of year and your energy!
A paved and shaded terrace, furnished with garden table, chairs, sunloungers, umbrella
and barbeque leads into a spacious french-country kitchen and living area fitted with modern
cupboards, new appliances (dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, cooker, washing machine) breakfast
nook and separate dining table.
The grand room has five large double windows looking out over the vineyards and a
forested valley. It accommodates a generous seating area furnished with comfortable sofa
and chairs and a separate king-size (or single depending on the number of guests) bed.
The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds (which can also be made up as a
kingsize double bed) and a set of drawers. A very large bathroom (10m2 with bath, stand-alone
shower, WC, basin and views) and a walk-in cupboard/ utility room complete the accommodation.
Trees of figs, cherries, apricots, almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts are sprinkled around
the property. Guests are welcome in season to pick the fruit - and some grapes too of course!
Pleasant walks can be enjoyed around our 14-hectare estate and we are on one of the ‘grand
randonnée’ routes of France for those seeking longer walks/hikes.
Bird watching and deer-spotting are excellent particularly at dawn and dusk.

Our coments on this property
The owners, the Feely family of Sean (from Ireland), Caroline (from South Africa) and their daughters Sophia and Ellie are delightful and will do all they can to make your stay memorable and enjoyable.
A light airy gite with plenty of windows giving wonderful vistas over vineyards, chateaus and the valley beyond to the Dordogne River. Excellent appliances an creature comforts.
Certainly one of the handiest gites to a wine area—you are surrounded by vineyards in every direction.
A wonderful area for those who want to ramble or cycle through vineyards with signposted trails with stopping points along the way—the trail range in length from 800 metres to 20 kilometres and wander through villages, vineyard and trees.
A small village that is truly walking distance away, plus larger villages and towns within 10 minutes drive.
