ARMAGNAC REGION WINE TOUR MAP
SOUTH WEST WINE TOUR OPTIONS
 |
The four maps outline possible approaches to planning a wine tour of the South
West wine regions:
- Map 1 - a series of day trips from one accommodation base. As most of regions are approximately one to one & half hours drive
they make for interesting and varied drives and could be any length from one day to 7 days
- Map 2 - the northern regions of Gaillac, Cahors, Marmandais and Frontonasis are best though
of as a 3 day circular tour
- Map 3 - the southern regions of Armagnac, Tursan, Madiran, and Jurancon would also make
a good 3 day tour
- Map 4 - the grand circle tour taking in all the wine regions and best considered
as a 6 night/7 day tour with different accommodation each night

Vineyard Selection
Domaine de Lauroux
Armagnac Appellation Controlee
At Domaine de Lauroux, they use aged Armagnacs in their Floc de Gascogne and this makes a
notable difference to the taste, giving extra warmth and depth.
Tasting Notes
Floc de Gascogne Rosé - abv. 17%
Made from grape juice from 3 grape varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot,
the rosé floc is aromatic and soft with layers of flavour including raspberry, blackcurrant and cinamon.
Floc de Gascogne Blanc - abv. 17%
Made from grape juice from 3 white grape varietals: Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Gros Manseng, the Floc Blanc
is smooth and delicious with hints of pear and citrus fruits, honey and lemon.
An excellent excuse for another trip back to the Armagnac wine region!
