We selected this property because we wanted:
- A base that was an easy drive from Toulouse airport (70 kms)
- A quality B&B in a quiet rural setting in the Gascony region
- Newly renovated - in fact a labour of love having taken 3 years to renovate and decorate
- Easy access to the national motorway system and to the vineyards of the south west corner of France
- Handy to a number of historical medieval towns such as the medieval town of Auch
- Welcoming accommodating hosts

OWNER’S DESCRIPTION
A'Larroustat, Manent-Montané in South West wine region, France
Unique farmhouse B&B in the Gers countryside
A' Larroustat is a big farmhouse (known as a gascon double) with adjoining barns
set in a hectare of land on the outskirts of the village, A Larroustat is a house of
character and charm. We have restored it sympathetically, keeping to the style of the
original house while introducing comfort, colour and convenience.
There is a swimming pool (10m x 5m) available, of course, for your use. We have
a large garden with a pond, fruit trees, views of the mountains, and plenty of shady
seats where you can sit and read in peace. We can also offer you croquet, table
tennis and boules.
Everyone who visits comments on the peace and tranquility here; although the village
is visible from the house we have no close neighbours, the road at the end of our drive
is used by occasional farming traffic and cyclists, and the church bell sounds only distantly.
We can offer two double bedrooms (one with a 5 ft wide double, one with twin beds) which
share a bathroom and a sitting room. This could be ideal for a family of three or four. We will
only take one booking at a time, however, so if you are a couple who only want one room you will
still have the privacy of your own bathroom and sitting room. The large bathroom has a bath and a
separate shower cubicle, the bedrooms are pleasant comfortable rooms each with two windows facing
different aspects, and the sitting room is somewhere to relax, read or write postcards.
We also offer a four-course evening meal, with apéritif and wine, for 24 € a head (advance notice
required please). Our ingredients are local as far as is possible: duck is bought from a local farmer,
fruit and vegetables are largely home grown and always seasonal and cheeses are Pyrenean varieties.
Puddings are home made.

Location
The property is very centrally located both in terms of the Toulouse, Auch, Condom, Tarbes
and the wine regions of Armagnac, Jurancon, Madiran, Tursan, Buzet and within 1½ hours drive
from most of the rest of the South-west wine region, plus the villages, towns and attraction
of the Gascogne.
There are also several good restaurants nearby.
Lectoure, the medieval St. James's Way (St.Jacques de Compostelle) pilgrimage route, and the Pyrenees mountains are all
in driving distance, while you are only 3 hours from both the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean.
Our comments on this property
Out of all the properties we have stayed at in France this is the most perfect restoration
plus the most spacious suites.

If your passion is for the better things of life then this is the property for you.
Ideal for one or two couples. The large farmhouse kitchen/breakfast room and the dining room
make meals a real pleasure. Parking at the door. A very comfortable property.
